Both the RG Cube and RG CubeXX share one handcraft storage bag, so the real decision is how you carry and protect your square handheld. Here are the rules that matter.
Quick answer
Buy the Handcraft Storage Bag for RG Cube and RG CubeXX if you own either console and want one padded, good-looking case that covers both. You do not need to choose a different bag for the RG Cube versus the RG CubeXX, because this bag is listed for both models.
Why one bag covers both consoles
The product name itself settles the biggest question: this is a single handcraft storage bag made for the RG Cube and the RG CubeXX. That means you are not comparing two separate cases with different dimensions. You are deciding whether this shared bag matches how you store and carry your square handheld.
That shared fit is convenient if you own both consoles or might add the other later. It also means the buying decision should focus on protection, style, and travel habits rather than on model-specific sizing charts that the catalog does not provide.
Protection and style are the actual trade-off
The catalog describes the bag as stylish and protective, with handcrafted construction. That combination is the main reason to choose it over a plain pouch: you get a storage bag that looks intentional on a shelf or in a bag, not just a generic sleeve.
The honest limitation is that the supplied listing does not specify internal dimensions, padding thickness, or closure type. If you need a guaranteed hard-shell fit or drop-rated protection, treat this as a soft handcraft storage bag and check the physical product details before relying on it for rough travel.
When a square handheld changes your carry habits
Square handhelds like the RG Cube and RG CubeXX sit differently in a backpack than wide-screen consoles. A dedicated handcraft bag for RG Cube keeps the device from sliding around with cables, chargers, or keys in a larger bag. That matters more for an RG CubeXX carrying bag used daily than for a console that mostly stays on a desk.
If you already own a larger case for another handheld, this bag is still useful as a lighter option for short trips. It is not a replacement for a full travel kit with room for accessories, because the listing does not describe extra compartments.
Decision rules for the RG Cube and RG CubeXX bag
- Own either console: Choose this bag if you have an RG Cube or RG CubeXX and want one storage bag that the listing names for both. Do not buy two different cases for the two models. One bag covers both model names.
- Carry it daily: Use it as an RG CubeXX carrying bag for commutes and short trips, where a dedicated sleeve keeps the console away from loose items in your backpack. For heavy travel with chargers and cables, plan a second pouch because the listing does not describe accessory compartments. Pair it with a separate accessory pouch for full travel kits.
- Care about looks: Pick the handcraft bag for RG Cube if you want a storage bag that looks good on a shelf or desk. If you need a rugged hard case with published drop protection, this listing does not supply those specifications, so choose a product that states them. Style is the strength; hard-shell protection is not specified.
- Check the price: At USD 11.09 against a USD 14.99 comparison price, this is an inexpensive add-on for an RG Cube protection setup. Confirm the current price and availability at checkout, since catalog prices can change. Verify the live price before ordering.
